How to Choose the Right Hydraulic Oil Press for Your Business

Buying an oil press is a medium-sized investment, and choosing the wrong model costs you money in wasted capacity or low yield. Here is how we help buyers decide.

First, name your raw material. Sesame and peanut are relatively easy — a 300-ton press handles them well. Walnut, apricot kernel and camellia seed are harder and need higher pressure, so the HN365, HN426 or HN500 are better picks. If you press oil sludge or food residue, you need a special barrel design.

Second, calculate your daily output. Do not buy a machine bigger than you need — a larger press costs more and uses more power. But do not under-size either, because running a small machine 20 hours a day wears it out faster. A good rule: choose a model that meets your target output in 8-10 hours of work.

Third, consider single vs dual barrel. Dual-barrel presses cost more but produce roughly twice as much because one barrel presses while the other is loaded. If your output target is above 1 ton per day, a dual-barrel model usually pays for itself within months.

Finally, check the power supply. Our machines run on 380V three-phase by default. If your factory uses a different voltage, tell us before ordering so we can configure the motor correctly.
